Days of rest

That’s me been back at work for a week after my Summer(?) break. Last weekend was spent taking the up-pipe for the primary turbo off my car and welding it. Whomever designed that car needs a kick in the fork. As usual, I stripped this part off, before anyone told me how difficult it was. Being naturally lazy, which is the sign of an engineer I’m told, I looked for the easiest way to do this and had the job done in 6 hours on my own. Apparently this is normally a 2 man job which should take 12 hours.
I wonder how much that would have cost in a Subaru dealership?
