I also got a new chainsaw this weekend, a petrol one this time. The electric one is fine for cutting cross-grain, but lacks the power for ripping, even with a chain sharpened for ripping.
I also started turning a natural edge ash bowl, but didn’t manage to get it finished. I need to get more time for turning. 3 or 4 hours a week really is not enough. I’m not sure how to get more time for turning without alienating the family or being able to give up work.
